I played basketball a while ago... But not my usual ball 'cos
I took it to the streets.

HAHA. I'm so random. My randomness amuses me. =))

It was a very different experience. I usually play with rubber shoes on, complete with ankle support and all the stuff you need to play. Court made of wood, rubber, or cement. Against girls or the grade school boys.

This time, I played on an improvised court. Uneven soil. Outdoors. Only with slippers on. We played against guys. Big guys. Big, sweaty guys. It was such a different experience for me. The game was so intense that my slipper broke. Haha!

I had so much fun. Nic always told me to do extra work every time I'm out. I guess that's good enough for extra work, huh? :))

On a brighter note, I have a story that happened last week which made me feel really happy and kind of confused. Haha.

While I was walking to our house, two kids were screaming at me. One said that I was pretty and asked if I could be his girlfriend (he was around 6. HAHA!).

A few minutes after I got inside our house, the kid who just asked me to become his girlfriend started singing Filipino love songs outside our house. HAHA! I went outside to take a look. When he saw me, he said, "Bakit ba iniwan mo akong nag-iisa?" I replied... "Huh..? Di nga kita kilala eh..."

And then he left. HAHA!

God is good!

I went to UP without any expectations. I never thought that I would actually pass the UPCAT. I took it because well, I can only take it once, right? I also wanted to see if I can pass without summer review classes. It was all a matter of checking if I have what it takes to be an iskolar ng bayan.

During science, Miss Joanne went to our class and told Mia she passed the UPCAT. We were all happy for her. For some reason, I got really scared. After a while, I saw Miss Joanne again outside the door and she pointed at me, and then a thumbs up. I got really excited and ran outside the door.. during class. I was screaming. First thing I thought of was, "I get to stay in the Philippines."

Deal was, I have to go to Australia for college. Unless, I pass UP.

Honestly, I was really happy not because I passed (but contributed a lot) but because I don't have to leave anymore.

Anyway, 2/2. God is good. God is good.

I don't know what's happening to me but recently, I've been feeling down. I've been looking at things in a different perspective. It's becoming hard for me to see things in an optimistic way.

I feel lonely most of the time. I try to be happy around my friends so they wouldn't worry about me. Nobody really reads my blog so I'll just let all my thoughts out here. I don't really like talking about my feelings and I don't like bothering people even though I really want someone to talk to me and ask me how I feel.

Mission Youth is an apostolate of the Regnum Christi Movement that works with bishops and pastors to evangelize by engaging and sending out youth to bear witness to Christ.

The experience of the mission calls young people to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ, encountering his love and having a desire to bring that love to others. Encountering Christ allows the missionaries to bring Christ to others, sharing his love and hope with all they come into contact with.

I'm really excited for the Mission Youth Camp this upcoming weekend! It's the first ever Mission Youth Camp in Zobel (and the Philippines) and we've been planning this for a while now.

Expectations.. Well, based on the schedule, I'm pretty sure that if all is executed properly and if all of us will participate actively, then for sure it will be a blast! :D

I am very proud to say that I'm part of the team that planned this out. If successful, they might use the schedule we made for future Mission Youth camps! Hihi.

I hope to be one of the people who will help form future Missionaries of Christ that will be brave enough to go out and spread His promise!

2011 has been very good to me. I met a lot of people who made a huge impact on my life and it was full of wonderful memories.

I welcome this new year with a heavy heart. Not because I hate beginnings, but because I know I am leaving. I promised myself that I wouldn't be attached to anything and anyone this year. My friends made it harder for me to leave. The uncertainty of the future scares me. I guess only time can tell.

Christmas is near! In a few hours we'll all be celebrating with our families, opening gifts, having fun and all those stuff.

I just thought about this a while ago while I was driving around.. Christmas day should be a National Holiday so that everyone gets a chance to spend time with their families. I mean, I know they have to work but it's Christmas... We should just go and spend time with our families because nothing's more important than family.

Just saying. If I were president, that's the first thing I'm gonna do.

I still want to believe that Santa is real. Hehe. Makes me happy.

Oh, even with all the gifts and celebrations, remember... It's when Jesus was born. So yeah.. Don't forget to thank Him for all the wonderful things you've received this year and for saving your butt. Never forget the true meaning of Christmas!

I'm a hopeless romantic.

I want to be romanced by sweet simple things and the thoughtful amazing surprises.

Movies and expensive dinner dates are nice once in a while, but I'd rather go out on a picnic or go play at the park, spend time together lying down, preferably under the stars, while sharing stories and getting to know each other better, or hang-out in the car while singing old songs at the top of our lungs...

I know, maybe nobody does these kinds of things anymore... but to me, that's what makes it really special.

BASKETBALL

People don’t play sports because it’s fun. Ask any athlete, most of them hate it, but they couldn’t imagine their life with out it. It’s part of them, the love/hate relationship. It’s what they live for. They live for the practices, parties, cheers, long bus rides, invitationals, countless pairs of different types of shoes, water, Gatorade, and coaches you hate but appreciate. They live for the way it feels when they beat the other team, and knowing those two extra sprints they ran in practice were worth it. They live for the way they become a family with their team, they live for the countless songs they sing in their heads while training all those hours. They live for the competition, they live for the friends, the practices, the memories, the pain. It’s who they are. It’s who we are.

All the pain, the sacrifices..

...were worth it..

...when we finally got that crown.

I love Spongebob and ice cream. Strawberries make me happy, too. For me, crescent & full moons are lovely and I can just stare at starry night sky for so long. I wish to see a solar eclipse in my lifetime and I want to sky dive.

My thoughts wander most of the time and I say what's in my mind which explains my unorganized..-ness.

Daring and headstrong are two adjectives related to me. I like taking risks and I am willing to risk anything and everything for people I love.

I think Superman is the third greatest super hero of all time, next to Yoda. Jesus is first, of course. I want to own a light saber and I wish to fly a starship, but an ordinary airplane will do. I will become a pilot.

I have a lot of families. First of, is my biological one. My mom, my dad, and my half-bro. I also have a long lost family, my basketball team. My long lost sisters and additional parents, my coaches. My friends.. I consider them family as well, the Mongols.

I want to believe that Narnia is real and that Unicorns exists.

Basketball is one of my greatest passions. It taught me a lot of things, it taught me to love.

I want to compare my life to a Waltz.
